Gluten-Free Events Calendar 2026/27

Gluten-free expos in Italy and the US, a Christmas market where every single stand is coeliac-safe, trade fairs, festivals — and the big mainstream events where eating gluten free takes real planning. Until now, finding any of this meant digging through coeliac society pages in five languages and hoping the dates were still current. So we built the calendar we always wanted: one page, every gluten-free event we could verify for 2026 and 2027, in English, German and Italian.

Bookmark this page. Every listing carries the date we last verified it, and we re-check entries on a rolling basis. If an event is missing, send it in — that is how this calendar grows.

Dedicated gluten-free events

Everything in this section exists for us: expos, markets and festivals where the whole point is that you can eat. One honest note before the list — “gluten-free event” doesn’t suspend the usual questions. At any individual stand, still ask how food is prepared and stored.

Prądzyńskiego 12/14), 10:00–18:00. Entry is free, but registration is required. Official details and registration. Verified 12 June 2026.

Free From & Premium Food — Vienna, 16–17 June 2026

A trade fair, not a consumer show: 250+ producers of gluten-free and free-from products from 30 countries at Messezentrum Wien. Relevant if you work in food retail, hospitality or product development — bring trade credentials. Official site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Zöliakie-Tagung — Zurich, 20 June 2026

The Swiss coeliac society IG Zöliakie holds its annual Zöliakie-Tagung at the Technopark in Zurich: expert talks plus an exhibition where everything on offer can be tasted and bought gluten free — a rare day of worry-free sampling. Advance ticket sales have closed, but day tickets are available at the door from 12:00. Official details. Verified 12 June 2026.

Scheidegger Glutenfrei-Wochen — Scheidegg, 31 July – 9 August 2026

Scheidegg, a small Kneipp resort town in the Allgäu, has quietly become one of Germany’s most coeliac-friendly places — and once a year it leans all the way in: ten days of gluten-free hikes with safe provisions, cooking and baking courses, talks, tastings and carriage rides. The highlight is the Glutenfrei-Markt with info day on 1 August 2026 (10:00–16:00) in the village centre, with around 30 exhibitors, cooking shows and a kids’ programme. And if summer doesn’t fit your plans, the village runs a compact autumn edition, the Glutenfreie Genusstage, from 29 October to 3 November 2026 — guided hikes, workshops and cooking courses around the Halloween weekend. Official programme. Verified 12 June 2026.

Wicked Gluten Free Expo — Fitchburg (MA), 19 September 2026

New England’s gluten-free expo at the Game On Sports & Performance Center, 10:00–16:00 — sampling, shopping and talks, with an entirely gluten-free vendor floor. Official site and tickets. Verified 12 June 2026.

Gluten Free EXPO — Vancouver, 19–20 September 2026 (and Calgary, 13 March 2027)

Western Canada’s gluten-free expo returns to Canada Place in Vancouver for its second edition: vendors, sampling and a speaker line-up, aimed squarely at the gluten-free community. The same organiser brings the expo to Calgary on 13 March 2027; an Edmonton date for September 2026 is still to be announced. Official site and tickets. Verified 12 June 2026.

My Gluten Free World Expo — Sandy (UT), 25–26 September 2026

One of the largest gluten-free expos in the US, with 100+ vendors and every product on the floor gluten free. Two days of tasting, stocking up and meeting brands directly. Official site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Glutenfreier Herbst — Weil der Stadt, 26–27 September 2026

A fully gluten-free autumn market near Stuttgart: 20+ stands with hearty meals, gluten-free beer and desserts on Carlo-Schmid-Platz — deliberately set apart from the town’s parallel (not gluten-free) Lukullischer Herbst food festival to reduce cross-contact. Free parking next to the market and step-free access throughout. Official details. Verified 12 June 2026.

Gluten-Free Festival — St. Pölten, 17–18 October 2026

Austria’s first dedicated gluten-free festival, run in cooperation with the Austrian coeliac society (ARGE Zöliakie): national and international exhibitors, gluten-free food trucks, new products and a weekend programme of expert talks and community sessions in St. Pölten. Official site and tickets. Verified 12 June 2026.

Gluten Free Goodness Expo — Ancaster (Hamilton), 1 November 2026

A gluten-free market day at the Ancaster Fairgrounds near Hamilton, Ontario: every vendor product is gluten free and coeliac-friendly. One honest note, straight from the organisers: the hall is a multi-use venue and not every product is certified gluten free, so read labels as you would anywhere. Sunday 10:00–16:00, CA$7 at the door. Official details. Verified 12 June 2026.

Gluten Free Expo — Rimini, 16–19 November 2026

The international reference fair for gluten-free products, now running under the FoodNova umbrella alongside Lactose Free Expo at the Rimini Expo Centre. Producers from across Europe, new product launches, and a useful read on where gluten-free food is heading. Official site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Glutenfreier Weihnachtsmarkt — Sasbachwalden, 27–29 November & 3–6 December 2026

A Christmas market in Germany’s Black Forest where everything — Lebkuchen, waffles, cakes, sausages — is gluten free. The tenth edition runs across the first two Advent weekends — Friday to Sunday, 27–29 November, and Thursday to Sunday, 3–6 December 2026 — in the Kurpark, with gingerbread decorating for kids. For coeliacs this is the rarest thing in travel: a market where you don’t have to ask first. Official site. Verified 12 June 2026.

The Allergy & Free From Show — Birmingham, 15–16 May 2027

The UK’s biggest free-from consumer show, at the NEC Birmingham: hundreds of exhibitors, expert talks and sampling across allergies and intolerances, with a strong gluten-free core. Official site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Gluten-free at the big events

Mainstream events don’t cater to us by default — but with preparation, most are doable. We only list an event here when we have something concrete to offer: a verified gluten-free option, a published guide, or field-tested tactics.

FIFA World Cup 2026 — USA, Canada & Mexico, 11 June – 19 July 2026

104 matches across 16 host cities, with the Final in New York/New Jersey on 19 July 2026. We’ve mapped gluten-free eating for every host city — vetted restaurant listings, safety tiers and stadium-day planning — in our World Cup hub: htgf.link/wc26. Official tournament site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Oktoberfest — Munich, 19 September – 4 October 2026

The Wiesn is gluten territory, but not a write-off: the festival’s official site documents gluten-free pretzels and gluten-free beer available on the grounds. Ask exactly how GF items are stored and handed over — a gluten-free pretzel served from the same basket as wheat ones is not safe — and treat anything from a shared fryer as off the menu. Official Oktoberfest site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Kieler Woche — Kiel, 20–28 June 2026

The world’s biggest sailing event doubles as northern Europe’s largest summer festival — and its harbour food mile runs on batter, breadcrumbs and shared fryers. Our approach: eat a proper gluten-free meal before you go, carry backup snacks and a German translation card, and ask any stand about fryers and marinades before trusting the “it’s just fish” answer. Official site. Verified 12 June 2026.

Hans im Glück Glutenfreie Woche — rotating German cities, June 2026 – February 2027

The burger chain Hans im Glück converts one restaurant at a time to fully gluten-free for a whole week: no gluten-containing ingredients in the building, separated prep areas, dedicated toasters, daily deep cleaning and coeliac-suitable buns from Munich bakery “echt jetzt” — gluten-free beer included. Confirmed stops: Bremen and Krefeld (15–21 June), Munich and Oldenburg (22–28 June), Bielefeld (29 June – 5 July), Recklinghausen and Stuttgart (6–12 July), Düsseldorf (20–26 July), then Cologne, Ulm and Braunschweig among others through autumn and winter, into early 2027. Full schedule on the official page. Verified 12 June 2026.

On our verification list

These events likely recur, but we could not yet confirm 2026/27 dates or gluten-free details. They are listed here unverified so you can watch for announcements — we’ll move them up once confirmed:

  • Glutenfreies Oktoberfest, Aschheim (near Munich) — no 2026 date announced; past editions point to a biennial rhythm, last documented 2023.
  • Nourished Festival (USA) — official site shows no 2026 schedule.
  • Celiac Disease Foundation National Conference (USA) — next date not yet announced.
  • GFree Fest, Providence (RI) — the 2026 edition ran 21–22 March; 2027 unconfirmed.
  • Free From Food Expo, Amsterdam — talked about for November 2026, but the official site currently lists only Vienna (June 2026); trade fair (B2B).
  • Free From Festival (UK) — no confirmed 2026/27 dates.
  • Gluten-free stands at the Spittelberg Christmas market, Vienna — documented in past years; 2026 unconfirmed.
  • Gluten Free EXPO Edmonton — “Sept 2026 TBD” per the organiser.
  • ZA Glutenfrei Messe, Sinsheim — first edition April 2026; a 2027 edition is expected but has no date yet.
  • Il Festival Senza Glutine (Italy, touring) — all five 2026 stops are over; 2027 unconfirmed.
  • Glutenfreier Ostermarkt, Oberderdingen — Easter 2027 unconfirmed.

Submit an event

Organising a gluten-free event, or spotted one we’re missing? Send us the name, dates, location and a link to the official page via our contact page or the community group. We check every entry against an official source before it goes on the list.

One last honest note: dates, venues and gluten-free arrangements change without notice. Confirm the details with the organiser before you book travel — and even at a fully gluten-free event, keep asking the usual questions about preparation and cross-contact.

Local groups & Stammtische — find your people

HTGF is global, but community happens locally — over a shared table, in your own city, at a monthly meetup where nobody asks “so what can you eat?”. The gatherings below are run by coeliac societies and independent local groups, not by us. We simply signpost them, and we checked every link against an official source on 13 June 2026.

Regular meetups with published dates

  • Munich, Germany — Zöliakie Stammtisch München (DZG group Südbayern): monthly on a Wednesday evening at rotating gluten-free-friendly restaurants, dates published through December 2026 — plus a separate young-adults Stammtisch and a Tegernsee offshoot (monthly, 2nd Wednesday). Dates & details
  • Nuremberg region, Germany — Samstag-Mittags-Treff, a Saturday-lunch Stammtisch by the Mittelfranken group. Dates
  • Vienna, Austria — Stammtisch Wien by ARGE Zöliakie, roughly monthly at rotating venues; ARGE also runs contact-group meetups in Carinthia, Tyrol, Lower Austria and family meetups in Graz and Salzburg. ARGE events calendar

  • New York City, USA 🏟️ — the NYC Celiac Disease Meetup, the largest gluten-free Meetup group in the world (2,500+ members) with regular restaurant dinners and walking tours. With the World Cup Final in NY/NJ on 19 July, this is the best “find your people while you’re in town” address on this page. Meetup group
  • Online — GIG of South Seattle meets monthly (3rd Tuesday, currently online), and the Celiac Disease Foundation runs a recurring virtual meet-up series. GIG South Seattle · CDF virtual meet-ups

Italy — an honest note: most structured local meetups in Italy run through channels we don’t list on HTGF. Independent communities where members arrange their own meetups exist — for example I Celiaci di Milano — and the new independent association Assoceliaci is one to watch. If you run an independent gluten-free meetup in Milan, Rome or Turin, tell us — we’d love to list you.

Society events are usually for members, though newcomers are normally welcome to get in touch first. Restaurants named in meetup listings are chosen by the groups, not safety-vetted by HTGF. And as always: dates and venues change — check the group’s own page before you go.
