Gluten-Free Events Calendar 2026/27
Gluten-free expos in Italy and the US, a Christmas market where every single stand is coeliac-safe, trade fairs, festivals — and the big mainstream events where eating gluten free takes real planning. Until now, finding any of this meant digging through coeliac society pages in five languages and hoping the dates were still current. So we built the calendar we always wanted: one page, every gluten
Bookmark this page. Every listing carries the date we last verified it, and we re-check entries on a rolling basis. If an event is missing, send it in — that is how this calendar grows.

Details
18–20 September 2026 (Sat in Halle 400, 09:00–22:00) · Kiel, Germany — Kieler Hörn (Sat also Halle 400)
Northern Germany's biggest Thai culture festival returns to the Kieler Hörn — free entry, Thai food stalls, music and dance, with Saturday also running in Halle 400. Thai cooking is kind to coeliacs at its base — rice, rice noodles, papaya salad, sticky rice with mango — but the stalls run on shared woks and fryers, and soy sauce (usually wheat-brewed) hides in marinades and stir-fries. Ask at every stall whether the dish is made with soy sauce or oyster sauce and whether the wok is rinsed between orders; curries and grilled skewers with plain rice are the best starting point. Eat beforehand, carry snacks, and bring a German coeliac card. Festival listing.

3–6 September 2026 · Follonica (Grosseto), Tuscany, Italy — Piazza Nicola Guerrazzi
The Free Food Festival's Tuscan date takes over Piazza Nicola Guerrazzi in Follonica for four days of gluten-free and vegetarian street food, live music, talks and DJ sets, with exhibitors from across Italy bringing gluten-free products. As with the other dates, this is a gluten-free and veg event rather than an entirely gluten-free site — the gluten-free stands sit alongside vegetarian and vegan ones, so ask about preparation and shared equipment at each. AIC Toscana lists it in its own events calendar, though the festival is run by Gnam Eventi rather than by the association. Festival details.

🇫🇮 Finland — nationwide · 31 AUG – 6 SEP
Details
31 August – 6 September 2026 · Finland — nationwide
Finland runs its coeliac week in week 36 rather than around World Coeliac Day, and 2026 is a milestone year: Keliakialiitto turns 50, under the theme Juhlitaan yhdessä (“let’s celebrate together”). There is no single venue — local coeliac associations put on their own gatherings across the country through the week, and the national programme includes a webinar on the decades of gluten-free living on Wednesday 2 September, 18:00–19:00 (registration closes that morning). A good week to look up your nearest Finnish group if you are travelling. Programme and registration.

The Free Food Festival brings its travelling gluten-free and vegetarian street-food event to Perugia for four evenings at the Percorso Verde in Pretola, with free entry, live music and exhibitors from across Italy bringing gluten-free products. Worth being clear about what this is: it is a gluten-free and veg festival rather than a wholly gluten-free site, so the gluten-free offer sits alongside vegetarian and vegan stands — ask each stand about preparation and shared equipment, as you would anywhere. 14–16 August 2026 (Fri 15:00–22:00, Sat 12:00–22:00, Sun 12:00–20:00) · Kiel, Germany — Rathausplatz
A touring street food festival (the “Come Hungry Tour”) stops on Kiel’s Rathausplatz — free entry, around 20 trucks, from burgers to Mexican to sweets. Like any food-truck event it runs on shared fryers and wheat, so nothing here is coeliac-dedicated: eat a proper gluten-free meal before you go, pack backup snacks and a German coeliac card, and at each truck ask specifically about a separate fryer and about flour in marinades or sauces before you order. Grilled meats, some Mexican corn-based dishes and naturally gluten-free bowls are the best places to start the conversation. Official site.

Giovinazzo’s much-loved summer sagra returns for its 29th edition — two evenings celebrating the local ‘cugno’, a generously stuffed sandwich filled with Puglian classics like aubergine parmigiana, brasciola and preserved vegetables. The organisers offer a gluten-free version of the panino, run together with the Puglia branch of the Italian Coeliac Association (AIC Puglia), so coeliac visitors can share in the same tradition. Entry is free, there is a children’s play area with entertainment from 18:00, and the proceeds go to charity. As at any large open-air food festival, it is worth confirming the gluten-free preparation with the stand on the night. Official festival site.

Details
24–28 July 2026 · Castrì di Lecce (Lecce), Puglia, Italy
Now in its 24th year, Marangiane in Festa turns Piazza Paperi in Castrì di Lecce over to the star of the Salento summer — the aubergine — across five evenings of food, conviviality and live music (8pm–midnight, free entry). Why it’s on our calendar: a dedicated gluten-free stand, run in collaboration with the Associazione Italiana Celiachia (AIC), means coeliacs can join in too — think aubergine parmigiana, polpette and sagne ’ncannulate in gluten-free versions. Order at the gluten-free stand and check the preparation with the team on the night. Event details.

Berlin's biggest festival weekend, and there is a workable coeliac route: the festival's accessibility team confirmed to an attendee (July 2026) that a small gluten-free selection is available on site and that coeliacs may bring their own food in through the accessibility entrance (Barrierefreiheits-Eingang) — email barrierefrei@lollapaloozade.com beforehand and keep the reply on your phone; a doctor's note or coeliac pass helps. As always at shared food stalls, ask about preparation before you order. Official site.

Organising a gluten-free event, or spotted one we’re missing? The fastest way is our submit-an-event form — or send the name, dates, location and official link via our contact page or the community group. We check every entry against an official source before it goes on the list.
One last honest note: dates, venues and gluten-free arrangements change without notice. Confirm the details with the organiser before you book travel — and even at a fully gluten-free event, keep asking the usual questions about preparation and cross-contact.

Local groups & Stammtische — find your people
HTGF is global, but community happens locally — over a shared table, in your own city, at a monthly meetup where nobody asks “so what can you eat?”. The gatherings below are run by coeliac societies and independent local groups, not by us. We simply signpost them, and we checked every link against an official source on 13 June 2026.

Italy — an honest note: most structured local meetups in Italy run through channels we don’t list on HTGF. Independent communities where members arrange their own meetups exist — for example I Celiaci di Milano — and the new independent association Assoceliaci is one to watch. If you run an independent gluten-free meetup in Milan, Rome or Turin, tell us — we’d love to list you.
Society events are usually for members, though newcomers are normally welcome to get in touch first. Restaurants named in meetup listings are chosen by the groups, not safety-vetted by HTGF. And as always: dates and venues change — check the group’s own page before you go.
