About this event

Scheidegg, a small Kneipp resort town in the Allgäu, has quietly become one of Germany’s most coeliac-friendly places, and once a year it leans all the way in: ten days of gluten-free hikes with gluten-free provisions, cooking and baking courses, talks, tastings and carriage rides. The highlight is the Glutenfrei-Markt with info day on 1 August 2026 (10:00–16:00) in the village centre, with around 30 exhibitors, cooking shows and a kids’ programme. Official programme.

Local groups and meet-ups

Coeliac societies and local groups run regular Stammtische, coffee mornings, family picnics and online meetings, from Munich and Vienna to Leeds, Calgary and New York, plus a run of Christmas meet-ups in November and December.
