Terms of Use

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of howtoglutenfree.com and its sub-services, operated by Andreas Fulde (How to Gluten Free), Hannover, Germany (see the Impressum). For purchases in the shop, the AGB (terms of sale) additionally apply.

2. Health information — not medical advice

Our content and tools provide practical guidance for living gluten-free. They are not medical advice and do not replace consultation with your doctor or dietitian. Evidence tiers, verification dates and label verdicts describe documented evidence at a point in time — conditions in kitchens and supply chains can change at any moment. Always confirm on-site and on-label.

3. Community contributions

Reports, reviews and suggestions you submit may be checked, edited for clarity and published as part of the community layer. Submissions must be truthful, your own, and free of third-party rights. We may decline or remove contributions. Contributions to the Atlas app are held for moderation before they become public. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour: such content is removed and the account is blocked. In the app you can flag any contribution and block any member.

Photos you share. When you add a photo to a place on the Atlas, you confirm that you took it, that you may share it, and that it shows no one who could be recognised without their consent. You keep all rights to your photo. You give How to Gluten Free a free, non-exclusive licence to show it on howtoglutenfree.com and in the Atlas app with that place, credited to your username. We check every photo before it appears and may decline or remove it. We remove location data from the file. To have a photo removed, write to hello@howtoglutenfree.com and we take it down within 7 days.

4. Intellectual property

Content, design, the tier system and the HTGF marks are protected. Personal, non-commercial use is welcome; republication or scraping requires written permission.

5. Liability

We work evidence-first and correct errors promptly, but we cannot guarantee completeness or fitness of third-party venues and products. Statutory liability (including for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health) remains unaffected.

6. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version applies. German law applies; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
