Switzerland’s gluten-free scene punches far above its size. Geneva has a dedicated workshop baking to a self-imposed 5-ppm standard — four times stricter than the law requires — and the Rice Up! chain serves officially all-gluten-free bowls inside Zürich main station, Bern station and Zurich Airport’s The Circle. Trains, mountains and safe food: it’s a good combination.

Kitchens change — menus, owners, fryers, staff. Evidence dates tell you when we last saw proof, not what is true today. Always confirm directly with the venue at the time of your visit, say explicitly that it's coeliac disease, and trust your own questions over any listing — including ours.
