Usually yes. Whipped cream is cream whipped with a little sugar, sometimes vanilla. None of that contains gluten.

What to check

  • Aerosol cream and “whipped toppings” add stabilisers and flavourings. Most contain no gluten, but read the label.
  • Toppings sprinkled over it, like biscuit crumbs, cookie pieces or granola, often contain wheat.
  • What’s underneath: waffles, cakes and scones are wheat unless made gluten-free.
