Usually yes. Sorbet is fruit, sugar and water, frozen. Glucose syrup, if used, is gluten-free too.

What to check

  • Mix-ins: biscuit, cookie or cake pieces usually contain wheat.
  • The scoop: in a gelateria the same scoop may go through flavours with biscuit pieces. Ask for a clean scoop from a fresh tub.
  • The cone: most cones are wheat. Ask for a cup, or a cone labelled gluten-free.
