Is Nutella gluten-free? The spread yes, the snacks no
The spread, yes. Ferrero labels Nutella hazelnut spread gluten-free in the US and in Italy (“senza glutine”).
What to know
- UK: the ingredient list has no gluten ingredients, and the UK page carries no gluten-free statement. Read your jar.
- Not gluten-free: Nutella Biscuits, Nutella B-ready and Nutella & Go (with breadsticks) contain wheat.
- The shared jar: a knife that has touched ordinary toast leaves crumbs in the jar. Keep your own jar, or use a clean spoon every time.
- Cafรฉs and crรชpe stands: the spread may be fine, but the crรชpe, waffle or pancake usually isn’t.
