Is whipped cream gluten-free? Usually, check toppings and what it’s on
Usually yes. Whipped cream is cream whipped with a little sugar, sometimes vanilla. None of that contains gluten.
What to check
- Aerosol cream and “whipped toppings” add stabilisers and flavourings. Most contain no gluten, but read the label.
- Toppings sprinkled over it, like biscuit crumbs, cookie pieces or granola, often contain wheat.
- What’s underneath: waffles, cakes and scones are wheat unless made gluten-free.
