Is almond milk gluten-free? Usually, yes
Usually, yes. Almond milk is almonds and water, often with added calcium, vitamins and a stabiliser.
What to check
- Blends: almond and oat or barley drinks exist. Oats need a gluten-free label; barley contains gluten.
- Flavoured versions: check added ingredients.
- In cafรฉs: check which plant milk they pour, and whether the jug is rinsed.
