3 Premier League clubs say on their own websites that they sell gluten-free food on matchdays: Everton, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur. 3 let you bring food you need for medical or dietary reasons: Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United. Coventry City’s current guide bans food, although a 2023 club article says stewards handle medical food needs. Several clubs ban outside food and many don’t say either way, so ask the club’s access team before the match. Updated October 2026.

What should I ask before match day?

Coeliac UK’s advice for eating out works at a football ground too: contact the venue ahead, explain that gluten-free is a health necessity and not a dietary choice, and check that the fryer and utensils used for gluten-free food are kept for it. Confirm your order before you eat, and if you’re still in doubt, don’t eat it.

If your club bans outside food, ask its access team whether it accepts a medical exemption for food. Several clubs need the request 48 to 72 hours before kick-off.

A sealed, labelled gluten-free snack in a small bag is the backup that works almost everywhere the rules allow it.

Questions

Which Premier League grounds sell gluten-free food?

On their own websites, Everton (kiosks with food made without gluten, marked on the club’s maps), Newcastle United (fries marked GF) and Tottenham Hotspur (gluten-free alternatives on request at two outlets). Brentford, Brighton and Chelsea mention gluten-free items only on older pages.

Can I take my own gluten-free food into a Premier League stadium?

It depends on the club. Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United allow food you need for medical or dietary reasons. Coventry’s current guide bans food, although a 2023 club article says stewards handle medical food needs. Brentford allows food that fits in a small bag. Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Tottenham and Brighton say no outside food, and many clubs don’t say. Ask the club’s access team before the match.

Is gluten-free food at a football ground safe for coeliacs?

We can’t say that about any kiosk. None of the 20 clubs publishes how its gluten-free items are kept apart from gluten, such as separate fryers. Ask at the counter, tell staff you have coeliac disease, and keep a sealed snack as backup.

Who do I contact before the match?

Each card names the club’s access or accessibility contact as the club publishes it. Clubs that grant exemptions usually want the request 48 to 72 hours before kick-off.
