Is wild rice gluten-free? Yes
Yes. Wild rice is gluten-free. Despite the name it isn’t true rice: it’s the seed of an aquatic grass, and it contains no gluten.
What to check
- Rice blends and seasoned mixes may add barley, wheat berries or seasonings with gluten. Read the ingredients.
- Stuffings and pilafs with wild rice often add bread or stock.
