What happened
Raw metka sausage on the Polish market has been recalled after samples tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
While raw meat sausages are often naturally gluten-free or labelled gluten-free, this product is recalled for bacterial contamination. Because our coeliac and gluten-intolerant community frequently reaches for simple meat products, please check your fridge. Listeria can cause severe food poisoning with fever, diarrhoea and muscle pain. If you have eaten this product and feel unwell, speak to your GP or gastroenterologist.
